In black and white

In its bid to create the ambience of yesteryears,Chehre,a suspense thriller directed by debutante Rohit Kaushik,will be shot in black and white. Set in the backdrop of the 1950s,the suspense thriller that revolves around the story of two sisters will star Divya Dutta and Manisha Koirala. Chehre will see Dutta sporting the look of Meena Kumari,the eminent actress.

After getting rave reviews for her roles in films like Veer Zaara,Welcome to Sajjanpur and Delhi 6,Dutta is excited about the upcoming project. “I am very excited about this movie. I have been a huge fan of stalwarts like Meena Kumari and Nutan. Playing a character from the 1950s,that too in a black and white film,was like stepping into their shoes. I am glad that directors are coming up with innovative ideas and are ready to experiment,” she says.
