The Deputy Commissioner,Sirmour,has ordered an inquiry after receiving a CD showing liquor being served illegally during a Gram Sabha meeting of the Lana Baka Panchayat in the district. The District Panchayat Officer will conduct the probe. The Commissioner,after meeting villagers from the panchayat,has promised to punish those found guilty.

Incentives for Haryana women

To mark International Womens day,Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda,on Tuesday,announced incentives for women. The honorarium of anganwadi workers has been increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 per month and that of anganwadi helpers from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,500 per month.
