Traffic disruption

Kendriya Arya Sabha will take out a procession on Friday to mark the birth anniversary of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati. The ‘shobha yatra’ will start from Arya Samaj Mandir in Sector 7 at 10 am and move towards KB DAV School. After crossing the gurdwara in Sector 8; Sector 17-18 traffic lights,Sector 18 inner market and Radha Krishna temple in Sector 18,it will come back to the Arya Samaj Mandir. Traffic along this route is likely to be disrupted.

Rose Festival

The three-day Rose Festival will be inaugurated by Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Shivraj Patil on Friday. Preparations for the festival were on in full swing on Thursday. Residents will be able to witness a variety of roses in full bloom. As part of the festivities,Punjabi singer Hans Raj Hans will perform in the evening at Leisure Valley,Sector 10.
