Housing societies’body meets

A meeting of the Core Committee of the Group Housing Cooperative Societies Welfare Council was held under the chairmanship of Satish Chandra Sharma. The meeting was attended by all the 24 core committee members drawn from sectors 48,49,50 and 51. The members lamented the apathy shown by the Chandigarh Administration and MC to the cooperative housing sectors of the city.

They said civic amenities continued to dog sectors 48,49,50 and 51. With no visible development taking place in these sectors,the residents were a harried lot.

Sharma proposed to submit a memorandum on the slow pace of development of the area to Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal.
