When India’s top music maestros come together for a fusion concert,it guarantees nothing less than a spectacle. Tabla player Zakir Hussain’s charm,percussionist Sivamani’s infectious energy and Shankar Mahadevan’s high-pitched notes brought together 3,000 people during ‘Heartbeats—The music within’ concert held at the Shanmukhananda Auditorium,Mumbai. Indian mandolin player U Srinivas and percussionist Selvaganesh added the fusion factor to the hour-long concert. Sivamani enthralled the audience with his trademark tricks with the drum sticks,while Mahadevan heightened the enthusiasm with his Hindustani and Carnatic renditions.

Bummer Though the show was well attended,members of the music industry,apart from Pandit Satish Vyas,gave it a miss.
