On Wednesday, he formally took charge of the post during a ceremonial guard of honour at the District Police Headquarters. The transition was marked by a meeting with outgoing SSP Deepak Pareek.
Before this assignment, Hans served as Joint Director (Crime) at the Punjab Vigilance Bureau in SAS Nagar.
Speaking to the media after assuming office, he outlined his priorities for the district. “Maintaining law and order, preventing criminal activities, and addressing public grievances promptly are my top priorities,” said SSP Hans. He added that the district police will function with full dedication to uphold administrative discipline and work towards the welfare of the people.
