Gurdeep Singh of Railway Sports Promotion Board,created two records in bench press by lifting 225 Kg and breaking old record of 215 Kg in the 90 Kg weight category,while bettering his own record of 837.5 kg by lifting 855 Kg in the 35th (Men) and 27th (Women) Senior Powerlifting Championship being held at Weightlifting Hall,Sports Complex,Sector 42,Chandigarh. The championship is being organised by Chandigarh Powerlifting Association.
In 100 Kg category,Angrej Singh of Railway Sports Promotion Board,also created three new records in squat by lifting 345 Kg,while lifting 216 Kg and 881 Kg in bench press,respectively.
