Goyal sisters continue to impress in chess meet

After having had to share the lead with ten other players on Day One,the Goyal sisters- Arunima and Tarini- looked extra-zealous to move ahead of the other competitors.

After having had to share the lead with ten other players on Day One,the Goyal sisters- Arunima and Tarini- looked extra-zealous to move ahead of the other competitors. It helped them that they came up with stellar performance and deservedly took lead with 5½ points each at the end of the sixth round in the Chandigarh Open prize money chess tournament,being held at St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School,Sector 44,on Saturday.

However,there were four players who were breathing down their necks after finishing with five points each. They were Tarundeep Singh,Harinder Pal,Anil Raina and Sahil Bhatia. However,the day belonged to Goyal sisters who came up with some superb moves that completely bamboozled their opponents.
