Govt names new officers

DS Bains is the new Principal Secretary (Home Affairs and Justice),Punjab as IAS officers were transferred today. Romila Dubey took the oath of Chairperson Punjab State Electricity Commission.

As per orders issued by the personnel department here today,DS Bains,a 1981-batch IAS officer,was posted as Principal Secretary (Home Affairs and Justice) he will also retain his charge of Principal Secretary (Forests); AL Talwar has been posted as Financial Commissioner Revenue as Romilla Dubey was yesterday relieved from her service as she took VRS. Saravjit Singh has been posted as Chief Administrator GMADA and given additional charge of CA PUDA.

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today administered the oath of office and secrecy to Romila Dubey as the Chairperson of Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) here at the Chief Minster’s residence. Dubey had been appointed as chairperson in place of Jai Singh Gill,IAS (Retd) whose term as chairman of PSERC expired on January 20,2011.

Dubey,who is from 1973 batch of Punjab cadre,held important assignments during her career as Financial Commissioner Revenue,Principal Secretary Technical Education,Principal Secretary Science and Technology and Secretary Social Security.
