GNPS-36 register easy win

A fiery spell of bowling by Shitij Rana (3 for 10) propelled Guru Nanak Public School,Sector 36,to an easy seven-wicket victory over 37 Cricket Academy in the inaugural match of the Blue Chilly Cup Cricket Tournament for Under-16 being organised by Desh Prem Azad Cricket Academy at the GNPS ground,Sector 36,on Tuesday.

37 Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat first. Their batsmen failed to get going and were bundled out for just 83 runs in 28.2 overs. Mayank and Honey Rana were the main scorer for 37 Cricket Academy with 16 and 13 runs,respectively. Shitij claimed three wickets for ten runs,while Rajpal Singh bagged two wickets.

In reply,GNPS-36 achieved their target in 15.2 overs by scoring 84 runs for the loss of three wickets. Kuljinder Singh and Kapil Punia remained unbeaten on 33 and 12,respectively.Vindir bagged two wickets for 12 runs.
