Music aficionados are in for a week-long treat early next month in Delhi, where the second edition of The Gig Week is set to begin. From September 2-8,various venues in the city will host bands from Delhi and outside as part of the festival. The 2012 line-up stays true to its 2011 concept — of featuring young bands, and having well-known bands or artistes headline each day.

Among the new musicians and outfits who will feature in this year’s Gig week are Kunal Dutta,Jester,Then & Now,Jordan Johnson and Ebonix. In case you want to skip to the popular ones, the selection boasts bands such as Half Step Down,Dualist Inquiry,The Circus,Cyanide,White Beryl and FuzzCulture. Half Step Down mixes rock ‘n’ roll, blues, funk and reggae, while The Circus is an alt rock outfit. Dualist Inquiry focusses on electronica, and optimistic fans hope that he will play numbers from his upcoming debut album.

The event will take place in venues such as Manajsa,Smoke House Grill,Verve,Shroom and Blue Frog in the Capital.
