When he is not busy being the director of NRAI School of Mass Communication,Nalin Singh writes and weaves stories of relevance and substance. Gandhi To Hitler is one of them. In town along with actress Nikita Singh, who plays Adolf Hitlers wife in the film, and lyrcist Pallavi Mishra,Singh spoke at length about the project. Its not a documentary. Its a commercial entertainer, and simultaneously,a tribute to our country, says Singh. The film,he says, stands for the clash of ideology between these two immensely popular world leaders – standing for two extremes. The film follows the two letters that Gandhi wrote to Hitler, urging him to rethink his path of violence. Its a classical subject that Bollywood hasnt touched so far,and I wanted to make it, says the writer. Also shot in Chandigarh in collaboration with Darshan Aulakh Productions,Gandhi to Hitler will release in 10 languages worldwide on July 29.
