Friendly matches today

A group of 40 members,consisting of hockey players and officials from Imperial College,United Kingdom is visiting Chandigarh. They will play friendly matches with Chandigarh Hockey Academy (Boys and girls) teams at Hockey Stadium,Sector-42,Chandigarh today. The matches will take place at 6 pm today at the above said venue. Amarjeet elected president
Amarjeet Singh Saini was unanimously elected as the president of Guru Gobind Sports Club in a general meeting held at the club. Gursewak Singh was elected as the vice-president while Gurdial Singh will be the secretary. Harbinder Singh would be the joint secretary while the cashier’s post was held by Parmod Rana. Jaswinder Singh Nani and Harmeet Singh Hunny were elected as president and vice-president of the football wing,respectively.

Chandigarh teams bring laurels
Chandigarh’s girls’ team won the silver medal while the boys’ team got bronze medal in the Third Junior National Dodgeball Championship held at Delhi from June 26 to June 29.
