Four more complaints against domestic help agency

The police received four more complaints from different parts of the Tricity alleging that an agency had provided them a domestic help who had later fled after stealing valuables from their house.

Inspector Gurmukh Singh,Station House Officer,Sector 11 Police station said,“We have received four complaints,one each from Mansa Devi Complex,Manimajra,Sector 28 and 49. A complaint was also received from a house in Sector 7,Panchkula. All the complainants alleged that they had been duped by an agency who had provided them domestic helps.”

The police were looking into the complaints to verify the allegations.

The SHO added that they suspected the accused to be running several parallel agencies as they had recovered pamphlets of agencies with different names.

Police have send its teams to Hisar in Haryana and Delhi to nab Gaurav,who is believed to be mastermind behind the behind racket. The police are also on the lookout for another accused Babu,whose name has also cropped up during the investigation.

On Thursday,police had arrested Radhika Das,Kamal,Sneha alias Mamuni and Raju,on the complaint of a Sector 11 resident who had been duped by them last year.

According to police,the accused ran a door-to-door agency in Delhi to provide domestic servants and advertised in newspapers and pamphlets. Whenever,a person contacted them for providing a domestic help,the accused set up a meeting where a deal was struck.

After taking the security money one of the accused used to leave,while the other later decamped with valuables from the house.

Most of the accused are from Assam and related to each other. The police believe that the racket was run for over a year as many complaints they had received were of last year.
