Wigan and Leigh College India (WLCI),one of the largest professional education institutions in India has started a unique traineeship programme for its students to earn their fees while they are learning. The ‘Traineeship System’ by WLC India takes care of career concerns of the students regarding gaining appropriate work experience and a fulfilling placement in the industry. The innovative methodology is not only helping the students to earn money while doing their courses but also offers an on-the-job learning experience. “As a trainee one must be able to get the opportunity to work in one’s area of specialisation to supplement one’s classroom education and get a headstart in their career. This experience allows a person to command higher salaries in the job market as compared to one’s peers from other colleges,” informs Malobika Sengupta,CEO,WLC India. So far,more than 10,000 WLCI students have worked as trainees,earned an attractive stipend and found job placements in the same companies on successful completion of their programmes.
