‘Lemmon’ Fresh Approach
The all-new Lemmon World School is set to offer tricity students international standards of education at its first branch that will open at Mohali in the coming academic session. The school boasts of a campus spread over six acres with air-conditioned e-classrooms with interactive boards,digitised content,multimedia theatre,music centre,shooting range,athletic track,clay tennis courts,fencing,golf training centre,cricket,football,swimming pool and air-conditioned transport among other facilities. The school will run classes from pre-nursery to Class V and would be affiliated to CBSE. As the school progresses a class each year will be added. The school already has a branch running in Sangrur,which started in 2004. “We are confident of making Lemmon World School the best in terms of infrastructure,human resource and latest pedagogy in the tricity,” remarked the school’s founder Tejinder Singh. The management has roped in Meenakshi Mohindra as the principal to lead this project. Mohindra has earlier been the principal of Bhavan Vidyalya,Sector 27 and has been teaching for more than three decades now. Sharing her perspective on the Lemmon World School Mohindra remarked,“The methodology shall be student-centered and shall be a sea change from conventional classroom teaching. ”

Soft skills and vocational training have become an essential requisite in getting jobs. It’s no longer only about degrees,” remarked Deepanshu,CEO of i-360 Staffing and Training Solutions while announcing the launch of its centre in Mohali. The institute that opened its eight branch in Punjab,will provide vocational training in retail management,managerial accounting,finance apart from brushing up language skills in English. “These would be skill enhancement programmes that would be from a duration of one-month to a year. The cost of these courses will vary between Rs 3,000 to Rs 30,000. The aim is to prepare students who have passed out of Class XII for the changing job scenario and bringing them on a global platform,” informed the CEO.
