If you have been burning a hole in your pocket buying toys and books for your children,heres reason to rejoice. Juju Beans Toy Library has opened in Sector 8 (SCO 366) in Panchkula. According to owners,Vani and Sameer Seth,The library provides ample choice of hundreds of toys,games,books,educational kits,interactive CDs and VCDs,computer games and outdoor games on rental basis to kids in the age group of new born to 12 years. One can borrow these at a minimal subscription amount. The library offers a mix of fun and developmental toys nd games. The same can also be booked for a party,playgroup or any function involving kids. Like a library,members can borrow toys for one week. Children break toys and games and loose books as they think only then will they get new ones. Through this concept,they will learn the opposite i.e.,only if you take care of your toys and games will you get new ones, chorus the owners. There are various plans depending on the range of toys one wants to take home. Theres a one-time annual admission fee of Rs 500. Four circulations are allowed in every month and a mnimum eight days for each circulation. The membership ranges from Rs 300 to Rs 600 per month.

DRAMA,humour,emotion,expression – all this ruled at the 15-day workshop for children at Mad Arts,Jaspal Bhatti Film School,Mohali on acting skills for the camera. Conducted by Anoop Sharma (Acting Dean) Mad Arts,the workshop included stand-up anchoring,skit enactments,music video,Mushaira etc with a humorous mode. The students were rewarded with a certificate on the completion of the workshop by Savita Bhatti,CEO of Mad Arts. Addressing the parents,Savita Bhatti remarked,As parents if we can send our children to schools and institutions for sharpening their analytical skills,their dancing and singing skills,why cant we also learn to teach our children how to laugh – because laughter is the best medicine in life.

ACCORDING to a recent study by NASSCOM and Ernst & Young,Indias animation industry is expected to hit $ 1 billion by 2012 aided by increased outsourcing and a growing domestic market. The Indian animation market,estimated at $494 million in 2008,is seen growing at a compounded annual growth rate of 22 percent till 2012. The gaming industry was estimated at $167 million in 2008 and is seen growing at a compounded rate of 49 percent yearly to hit $830 million by 2012,the report added.
