Rs 30,000 robbed,vehicles damaged
Anurahda Bali alias Fiza,the estranged wife of Haryana former Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan alias Chand Mohammad,was allegedly attacked by her paternal uncle and three other unidentified persons around midnight,the police said here today.
The armed assailants decamped with Rs 30,000 cash and damaged two vehicles before fleeing with threats to eliminate the family,Fiza reported to the police.
She told the police that at around 12.30 am,her uncle Satpal along with his three accomplices came to their house in Sector 48-C here and on being asked the reason of coming so late,the assailants,who were equipped with guns and rods,threatened them with dire consequences and asked to hand them over the cash and valuables lying in the house. Despite our resistance whatever my aged mother and me could put up,the assailants managed to rob us of Rs 30,000 cash, she alleged,while accusing the assailants of breaking the windshields of her Honda City and Hyundai Santro cars with rods.
Fiza said though she followed the assailants outside her house but in the cover of darkness,they disappeared. She also alleged that the assailants were in an inebriated state and hurled abuses on them.
Speaking to Newsline,she said earlier her sexagenarian uncle,who was a bachelor,used to live at their place,but recently they shunted him out after he used to consume excessive liquor and misbehave with them.
On the complaint of Fiza,the local police have registered a case under Sections 452,380,427,506 and 34 of the IPC and Sections 25,27,54 and 59 of the Arms Act against the assailants,who were still at large,at Phase XI police station here.
