Finiky win in high scoring match

553 runs in 40 overs,two blistering tons and some electrifying performances on the field. Thursday’s match between Kundan Academy and Finiky had the making of a classic as both the teams put on splendid batting performances. However,it was Finiky XI who had the last laugh as the team beat Kundan Academy narrowly by nine runs in the U- 19 Cricket Premier League organised by Kundan Cricket Academy at Kundan International School,Sector 46,in Chandigarh.

Electing to bat first after winning the toss,Finiky put on a massive total of 281 runs in stipulated 20 overs. It was Sunil’s blistering knock of 158 runs that helped the team pile on a huge total.

Chetan contributed 30 vital runs in the team’s total score. Dhanwant Tiwari,Suraj Suri and Mahesh bagged two wickets each for the bowling side.

Kundan Academy made a brave start to the chase as they nearly pulled off a stunner.

Suraj Suri,who had earlier taken two wickets for the team,put on another superb performance and smashed a hurricane 102 to bring the team closer to the target.

Dhanwant Tiwari also give him able support with a pugnacious 62. Harry picked up three wickets,while Attish took two wickets in Finiky’s narrow win.
