Local Bodies and Industry Minister Manoranjan Kalia on Monday criticised visiting US President Barack Obama for maintaining silence on whether the 52,000 jobs created in the US as a result of business deals signed between India and the US during his three-day visit would also benefit Indians. He pointed out that the President had not said a word about the ban imposed by the US on outsourcing of IT jobs. Kalia was also critical of Obamas silence on Pakistans alleged role in the November 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai. Kalia said President Obama had a soft corner for Pakistan. Regarding the Presidents aborted Golden Temple visit,Kalia said it could have been a goodwill exercise.
