Ferozepur Triple Murder: All 6 accused held from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, cops say case solved
The shooting took place near Akalgarh gurdwara in Ferozepur on September 3 when the woman, Jaspreet Kaur (26), accompanied by cousin Dildeep Singh and others, were on way to buy stuff for the woman's wedding next month.

The Punjab Police, in a joint operation with their Maharashtra counterparts and central agencies, on Saturday arrested six persons from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (formerly Aurangabad) for allegedly shooting dead a woman and two others in Ferozepur on September 3, state police Chief Gaurav Yadav said.
DGP Yadav said with this, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of the state police has solved the triple murder case with the arrest of six shooters from Aurangabad.
Those arrested have been identified as Gurpreet Singh of Chohla Sahib in Tarn Taran, Prince of Kunde village in Ferozepur, and Ravinder Singh, Sukhchain Singh, Akshay and Rajbeer Singh, all residents of Basti Bagh Wali in Ferozepur.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that all the arrested accused were close associates of Ashish Chopra, a fugitive hiding abroad on a fake passport, the Yadav said.
All the accused have a criminal history, with cases pertaining to murder, attempt to murder, robbery, drugs, and under the Arms Act registered against them, the DGP said, adding Gurpreet Singh had been declared a proclaimed offender in two cases.
DGP Yadav said police had launched a special operation covering Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi and Maharashtra, and arrested the accused from Hruday Samrat Balasaheb Thakre Express Highway.
Sources said Commissioner of Police Praveen Pawar received a call at 3am from ADG Pramod Ban of the AGTF, informing that one of the shooters from Punjab was heading to Maharashtra. A team was formed to track the shooter and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Police was informed. The police, comprising 40 personnel, including 10 from Punjab, led by Crime Branch’s Inspector Sandeep Gurme and CIDCO Police Station Inspector Gajanan Kalyankar, flagged down a suspicious car and arrested the armed accused.
The probe revealed that the shooting incident was the fallout of inter-gang rivalry between two groups, he added.
