The Faridkot police claimed to have busted a fake degree racket with the arrest of two persons on Friday. The accused run schools at Kotkapura and nearly 208 fake degrees and certificates of institutes like Council of Secondary Education,Board of Higher Secondary Education,Delhi,Madmik Sikshiya Parishan,Uttar Pradesh,Diploma Pharmacy,Karnataka,Rajasthan Medical Council,Jaipur,Baba Sheikh Farid Mission Hospital,Kotkapura,University of Jaipur,Sardar Patel Medical College,Bikaner,Shivaji Insitute of Paramedical Sciences and Ayurvedic Mahavidyalaya,among others were recovered.
SSP Ashok Mittal said,We received a tip-off about this racket following which DSP Dilbagh Singh Pannu and his team raided Shivaji Public School near Giani Zaila Singh market in Kotkapura. We recovered over 208 fake certificates and 30 stamps. We have also confiscated the computer of this school.
Ashok Deora,owner of Shivaji Public School,and Ajay Kumar from Bawa Model School have been arrested.
The officer added, The accused have confessed to selling fake degrees to people and have also told us about an institute based in Ludhiana with which these people were collaborating. We will soon check that institute too. The MMBS degree in the name of Ashok Deora is also fake. Investigations are on, added SSP Mittal.
