Easy victory for Sharukh in boxing

Shahrukh of Government High School,Sector 25,beat Varun of Govenment Model School,Dhanas,to enter the semi-finals of the 46 kg weight category in the boxing event.

Shahrukh of Government High School,Sector 25,beat Varun of Govenment Model School,Dhanas,to enter the semi-finals of the 46 kg weight category in the boxing event held during the 13th Pandit Mohan Lal Memorial Basketball Tournament and 4th Pandit Mohan Lal Memorial Boxing Championship,at PML SD Public School,Sector 32,on Wednesday.

In other bouts,Pulankit of Eagle Club defeated Ashmeet of SD Club,Akash of Burail Club beat Aman of United Club,Manjeet of Government Model School,Karsan,got the bette of Tarandeep of GNK-30,Rahul of SD School-32 beat Vikas of Shikhya-46,Amit of GNK-30 outclassed Balram of GHS-46 amd Vishal of GMS-32 easily defeated Rahul of GHS-40,to move into the next round.

Similarly,in the basketball matches in the boy’s section,hosts SD SChool,Sector 32,humbled DAV Senio Secondary School,Sector 8,by 55-18. Digvijay scored 15 points fort he winning team. In another match,Sri Guru Karkishan School,Sector 38,registered an easy 32-16 victory over St Joseph’s School,Sector 44. In the girl’s section,IS Dev Samaj easily prevailed over St Annes School,Sector 32,by 33-16 while Guru Nanak Public School,Sector 36,thrashed Carmel Convent School,Sector 39,by 33-8.

KV 2 Patiala win handball title

Chandigarh: KV 2 Patiala bagged gold medal in the Under-14 boy’s handball event on the second day of the KVS Regional Handball meet being held at KV 1 Chandimandir,on Wednesday. KV CRPF Pinjore won the bronze medal by defeating KV 2 Chandimandir 10-5. In the football matches, KV 2 Hussainpur prevailed over KV Sector 47(Ist Shift) 2-0,KV 1 Chandimandir beat KV 1 Ambala 1-0. Meanwhile,in the KVS Inter Regional (Sirsa) athletics meet held at Jalandhar,Ajay of KV Jhajjar annexed gold in 800 metre. This was for the first time that the KV Jhajjar team,coached by Roma Pandey,has won any title.
