Driver of judge rams car into two vehicles in Sector 11

The incident took place on Thursday at around 6 pm when the driver,Bhupinder Singh,hit the beaconed vehicle (a Honda city) into two vehicles from behind. The two vehicles were parked on the road in Sector 11.

Infuriated,owners of the damaged vehicles confronted the driver who was accompanied by another person,an assistant of the Magistrate. The onlookers alleged that the driver removed the red light from the vehicle after people gathered.

The driver took the plea that he had suffered a fit while driving as a result of which the vehicle collided. Bhupinder along with the government employee were coming from PGI and were heading towards Sector 10. The Magistrate was not in the vehicle when the incident happened.

The Chandigarh Police registered a case of rash and negligent driving against Bhupinder Singh and arrested him on the complaint of Vikas Kapur,resident of Sector 38. Kapur’s vehicle was damaged.

The driver was admitted to GMSH-16. “He is reported to be a chronic patient of high blood pressure also. He has been admitted to the hospital,” said a police official.
