It was a double delight for Saket Malhotra of Gyandeep Public School as he claimed the top spot in the boys’ U-17 One Klap XC MTB Race and 10 Km Mass Start race in the Chandigarh Road and Mountain Bike Cycling Championship on Sunday. Malhotra first claimed the title in the One Klap XC MTB Race with a timing of eight minutes and 3.12 seconds while he claimed the top spot in the 10 Km Mass Start race with a time of seven minutes and 6.29 seconds.
In the junior boys category in the BMX event,Anuraag of Delhi Public School,Sector 40 claimed the top spot with ten points while Rishav of St Joseph’s School,Sector 45 grabbed the second spot with 10 points. The third spot was bagged by Pranav Mohindra of Ryan International School,Sector 49 with nine points. In the boys’ 5 Km Mass Start race (U-15),Krishan Malhotra of Gyandeep Public School,Sector 20 with a timing of eight minutes and 1.30 seconds. The second spot was grabbed by Pranav Mohindra of Ryan International School. Anurag of Bhawan Vidyalaya claimed the third spot in the same event.
It was an easy going for Ravssharan Singh of CCET,Sector 26 as he claimed the title in the 10 Km Mass Start race (boys’ U-19) with a timing of ten minutes and 11.59 seconds. The second spot was claimed by Prince Preet Singh of GGKS-35 while Jasbir Singh of CCC claimed the third spot.
In the men’s 20 KM Mass Start Race,Man Singh of GCM claimed the top spot with a timing of 31 minutes and 20.55 seconds while Darshan Singh of CCET grabbed the second spot. The third spot went to Rahul Aul of CCC. In the girls’ U-17 Mass Start 5 Km race,Preneet kaur of Sacred Heart School,Sector 26 emerged as the winner clocking a time of eight minutes and 41.02 seconds. Aditi Mohindra of Sacred Heart School,Sector 26 claimed the second spot while Urvashi Khurana of Tribune Model School,Sector 29 claimed the third spot. In the boys’ One Lap XC MTB race (U-15),Pranav Mohindra of Ryan International School claimed the title with a timing of ten minutes and 46.11 seconds while Shamit Baga of Saupin’s School,Sector 32 claimed the second spot with a timing of 12 minutes and 33.08 seconds. It was a delight for Darshan Singh of CCET as he emerged the champion in the 4 Lap XC MTB race (Men’s) with a timing of 30 minutes and 52.01 seconds. The second spot in this event went to Madan of CCC with a timing of 30 minutes and 54.55 seconds while Nigal Studley of CCC claimed the third spot with a timing of 32 minutes and two seconds.
