‘Don’t say it is do-or-die battle,we will do it’

Former CM Capt Amarinder Singh, whose son Raninder is pitted against his sworn enemy Parkash Singh Badal’s daughter-in-law Harsimrat Badal from Bathinda,is not leaving anything to chance in the constituency.

Former CM Capt Amarinder Singh, whose son Raninder is pitted against his sworn enemy Parkash Singh Badal’s daughter-in-law Harsimrat Badal from Bathinda,is not leaving anything to chance in the constituency.

“It is a do-or-die battle. One can put 12 seats of Punjab on one side and Bathinda seat on the other,” Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal’s estranged cousin Mahesh Inder Singh Badal told Amarinder,as they discussed the poll strategy minutes before Amarinder was to address a press conference at Talwandi Sabo MLA Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu’s house in Bathinda today.

“Don’t say die. We will just do (win) it,” a charged up Amarinder responded, while assuring that he would keep on campaigning in Bathinda off and on,besides covering other constituencies of state.

“If you can just do some road shows waving to the people,it could make difference of thousands of votes in our favour,” suggested Mansa MLA Sher Singh Gagowal. “I am at your disposal anytime,” Amarinder replied. Maj Amardeep Singh (retd),a close aide of Amarinder, said the former CM would launch an aggressive campaign for Raninder in Bathinda after he is finished with accompanying all Congress candidates in filing their nomination papers in state.
