A 16-year-old maid reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself with a dupatta in a Sector 19 house on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Kiran. She was a resident of Kansal and was working in house which belonged to a chartered accountant. The reason for the her extreme step was unknown as no suicide note was recovered from the spot. She was first found hanging from the grill of the bedroom window by the house owner in the evening after which he informed the police. The family meanwhile,alleged foul play saying that Kiran could not taken such a step. SHO,Sector 19 Police station said that the inquiry was being conducted by the SDM. The body has been kept at the GMSH-16 mortuary and post mortem will be conducted on Wednesday.
