The first woman IPS officer Dr Kiran Bedi shared the secrets of success with the students of the Aryans Group of Colleges (AGC) at its campus near here on Monday. She gave tips to the students on the topic Secrets of Success.
In her speech,she highlighted the need for students to focus on learning technical and creative skills,and also urged them to develop language skills to communicate effectively. She said,I am sharing secrets of success with you the 3 Ms Mastery,whichever subject you wish to pursue or whatever you do in life,attain mastery on it; Membership,be a responsible member of your institution,family and societal communities and try to give back something to it; and Meaning,pursue the higher purpose behind attaining this mastery and membership,and true meaning of your existence.
Dr Bedi said her struggle was not to survive but to thrive and she encouraged the audience to succeed in their endeavours against all odds in spite of the numerous hardships faced and the objections encountered in the society. She also shared her life experiences in the IPS and her idea of a successful woman as well as her insights on leadership.
Speaking at the occasion,AGC Chairman Anshu Kataria said,Bedis visit would encourage rural students to think big. He said her visit was part of Young Leaders series initiated by AGC,where the young personalities influencing youth of country would be visiting and interacting with the students.
Pavan Choudary,author and management guru,highlighted the importance of differentiation and wisdom. He said,Knowledge is information but wisdom is transformation.
Earlier,AGC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr Bedis Navjyoti India Foundation. As per the agreement,the AGC would fund the cost of tuition,uniforms and books of 11 MBA and 11 BBA underprivileged students every year sponsored by the Foundation.
