The District and Sessions Court today extended the remand of Abhinav Verma and Mukul Verma,both accused in the alleged murder of 19-year-old Aman Satya Kachru,a first year student of Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (RPGMC),Tanda,till March 19. Other two accused in this case are Ajay Verma and Naveen Verma.

Superintendent of Police Atul Fulzele said both the accused were produced before the Court at Dharamshala where they had surrendered and the Court extended their police remand till Thursday.

Sources said the police have started recording the statements of the first year students. Meanwhile,the college authorities today organised an interaction session with the first year students on the campus which was attended by the faculty members also. “First year students have returned and are attending the classes,’’ said newly appointed principal Anil Chauhan.

The students,faculty members,para-medical staff and other staff of the college paid homage to Aman and organised a candle light procession on Sunday evening. They also organised a “havan’’ yesterday in which a few locals also joined.

The college administration is trying to improve the grim environment on the campus.
