For those who notice artistic references in daily activities,Kawal Mehta’s paintings displayed at Fashion and Interior exhibition at Hotel Shivalik View are worth a look. Nestled amongst the 50 odd stalls,Mehta has tried to capture moments from everyday life in her paintings. There’s a girl ready to sing,a man sitting in a contemplative mode and a child admiring his toys. Mehta’s works also have paintings of Lord Ganesha in different forms and portraits of Guru Nanak Devi Ji. While her works vary from landscapes to abstract, her painting on white lilies is captivating. “These are very close to my heart. For me,they are a symbol of peace,” says Mehta,a computer teacher by profession who has displayed 70 paintings.

Among other exhibits,Balpreet Singh Sehgal, has brought in an array of home-made chocolates. One can choose from soft center creamy chocolates, spearmint and vodka bomb, among others. For those looking for a bridal range,Guneet Anand has a range of anarkalis and Ashima Kumra puts forward the best of Pakistani suits.

The exhibition is on at Hotel Shivalik View, till today.
