Two days after arresting two suspects in the blind murder of a construction contractor Sikander Singh,who was burnt after being brutally killed in Sector 66 here on Sunday midnight,the local police on Saturday evening arrested another absconding suspect in the case.

Jaswinder Singh alias Sonu alias Noni of Amloh in Fatehgarh Sahib was arrested when he was driving a Mahindra Scorpio vehicle,which was intercepted at a police check-post near

Bawa White House in Phase XI here,an official release quoting Mohali SSP Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said.

With this,all three suspects in the brutal murder have been arrested. Jaswinder along with Rakesh Sharma alias Monty,who was already arrested along with Krishan Chander Batham alias VK on April 22,were allegedly hired by VK for Rs 30,000 to kill Sikander.

Release said a doubled-edged sword used in the crime and Rs 10,000 cash,which was allegedly robbed from the victim,were also recovered from Monty.

Upset over alleged molestation of his wife and his own blackmailing at the hands of Sikander,Botham had allegedly hired Monty and Sonu for contract killing.

Aged around 40,a native of Bhogpur village in Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh) Sikander’s body was partially burnt and was beyond recognition till the police party could douse the flames but his partially burnt driving license recovered from the spot had led to his identification.
