From singing gurbani ,Shiva,Rumi mystic master Anandmurti Gurumaa has now found Kabir as a source of her inspiration. Titled Avadhoo (Mystica Music),the album is a rendition of soulful verses of Kabir with words that captivate the heart and mind, inspiring the seeker to look within and introspect on what is being conveyed.

Intriguing yet revolutionary, soft yet hard-hitting,Kabir’s verses, feels Gurumaa, are in common dialect, but their esoteric meanings are way beyond common perception. “They are profound and challenging. This album is a gift for all those who yearn to understand and experience the deeper realities of existence,” she says. The album opens with Naiyya Mori Neeke Chaalan Laagi that depicts the continuous and gradual advancement of one’s spiritual journey, followed by Jan Jaagat Rahiyo Bhaai, which is the call of the master, emphasising on how important it is to stay vigilant from the five evils — kaam, krodha, lobh, moh, ahankar. Then comes Avadhoo Yukti Vichaare, explaining the deeper intricacies of Kundalini — the natural energy of the self. In these cryptic verses Kabir gives his own insight as to who a yogi is. “He/she is avadhoo,a word commonly appearing in his verses, which means as naked as space; not carrying anything in mind and is clear and infinite,” explains Gurumaa. Gyana Ka Dhanush incites the seeker to get the bow of wisdom and enter the battlefield of moksha.

The album has been conceptualised and sung by Anandmurti Gurumaa and the music is by Kanchman Babbar.
