CHB employees burn effigy of UT Administration on 47th day of hunger strike

Employees of the Chandigarh Housing Board burnt an effigy of the Chandigarh Administration near the dividing road of Sector 16 and 23.

The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has been holding a chain hunger strike and protests to raise the demand for getting pension.

The case for the implementation of a pension scheme in favour of CHB employees who joined before January 1,2004 decided by CHB is pending with the Chandigarh Administration since 2009 for arranging formal approval of Administrator. The chain hunger strike by the employees entered its 47th day.
