Move back Eminem,we’ve got our own desi rapper now.

Rapping to fame
Move back Eminem,we’ve got our own desi rapper now. Fifty-five-year-old Savitri Kochar might be the oldest on the sets of Zee’s Hasne Hasane Ka Tonic-Ladies’ Special, but that hasn’t stopped this lusty lady from rapping to glory. Judge Baba Sehgal was so impressed by her performance that he came up on stage and they rapped together for a while.

Cultural melting pot
UTV’s movie of the month is an Israeli film called The Band’s Visit written and directed by Eran Kolirin. It tells the story of Alexandria Ceremonial Police Orchestra which arrives in Israel from Egypt for a cultural event and is forced to put up in a remote town called Beit Hatikva. Each of the members attempts to get along with the natives in their own way. Watch it on July 25 at 8.30 pm on UTV World Movies.

Respectfully yours
Salman Khan may have the image of being a brat with a volatile temper. But even his detractors cannot deny that he is one of the most respectful guys when it comes to elders. On the sets of 10 Ka Dum,all the aunties and uncles get more than a handshake and a hug. He takes the time to chat with them too. Shilpa Shetty revealed that it is a treat to watch Salman talk to his father. “If he is on the phone and suddenly shoots up and stands to attention, then we know he is talking to his father.” Now,if only he would extend the same respect to people of all age groups.

Dead or alive
Recently in Shree,Pankaj Tiwari aka Hari’s family members were required to be put in coffins. There was a stunned silence when this was announced and nobody was game for it. Reasoned producer JD Majethia,”Why don’t you guys see this as an amazing opportunity? After all,how many human beings get a chance to be inside a coffin while still alive?” That’s what we call faulty logic.
