CAT ’09: Management lessons for aspirants start with fluid control

According to the research and development team of coaching institute Career Launcher,students must stop consuming water around four hours before the exam commences.

Kashish,one of the candidates appearing for the test on Friday,says,“It would be difficult to manage without water for four hours before and then during the exam. I have the afternoon slot for the exam and have been practicing with the same environment as there would be in the centre.” Nitin,another aspirant,shares similar views,“I am a bit nervous,but since have practiced as per the instructions a couple of times,I am hopeful of doing well.”

Coaching centres have asked aspirants to go through the website http://www.catiim.in,which has all the instructions and a checklist a candidate needs to follow.

The candidates are not allowed to carry even wristwatches and pens,besides other things.

This is for the first time that the entrance exam is being held online. For around 10,000 students who would be appearing from the city,three centres have been allocated. The exam is being conducted over a span of ten days and would be held twice a day,at 10 in the morning and at 3.30 in the afternoon. The same pattern would be followed on all the ten days.
