Case filed 2 years after murder

Jalandhar police have registered a case of murder more than two years after a body was found in the fields in Kartarpur’s Kala Khera village.

Since the body remained unidentified,the police had initially terming the killing a blind murder. However,the case was registered on November 2 after the police arrested two residents of Kala Khera,Jatinder Singh alias Sonu and Paramjit Singh alias Pumma,who let slip their involvement in the murder,in an inebriated state.

The body of the victim,Amritpal of Kala Khera village,was found in the fields on June 30,2008.
