Carjacking at gunpoint in Panchkula

Kulwant Singh,a resident of Sector 27,Panchkula,was robbed of his car by four armed robbers at around 11 pm on Wednesday,near their residence.

Kulwant Singh,a resident of Sector 27,Panchkula,was robbed of his car by four armed robbers at around 11 pm on Wednesday,near their residence.

Kulwant,an accounts manager at BSNL,Chandigarh,had gone to visit the Nada Saheb Gurudwara with his wife. While returning,a Maruti Swift overtook their Verna.

Three men came out of the car while one stayed on the wheel. The three men,with covered faces,forced Kulwant and his wife to step out of their car and hand over the keys before they escaped in the two cars.

Two of the three men were also holding guns. A case has been registered at the Chandimandir police station and investigations are going on. In a similar incident of carjacking in June this year,four armed men had robbed a person at the Zirakpur-Kalka road. The police had caught the accused who had also been identified by the victim.
