BSP kickstarts civic body campaigning

Bahujan Samaj Party formally started its campaign from ward number 23. Jannat Jahan-ul-Haq alias Naina,wife of convenor of the city unit of the party,Haffiz Anwar-ul-Haq,is the candidate from the area.

The ward comprises of Ramdarbar and Hallomajra. The campaign was started with a padyatra at Ramdarbar. BSP workers along with Jannat,Haffiz and other leaders moved around in different parts of the ward interacting with the residents.

BJP councillor Ram Lal is currently representing the area. During the elections in 2006,the ward was reserved for a candidate from the schedule caste. For these elections,the ward was reserved for women candidates.
