Shifting of cattle starts

Chandigarh: Starting the process of shifting of stray cattle to a cattle shed in Delhi,the Municipal Corporation sent out 60 stray animals cattle from cattle pound to Dabur Hare Krishna Gaushala,Surhera Nazafgarh,Delhi. A total of 10 trucks were hired for the transportation of cattle. Proper fodder and first-aid facilities were carried along for these cattle. One cattle catcher accompanied each truck and one Chief Sanitary Inspector with Sanitary Inspector also supervised the shifting of cattle.

2 trespassing cases received

Chandigarh: The UT Police has booked two persons who trespassed upon the residence of two women in separate incidents and threatened them. In one of the cases registered in Sector 31 Police station,a woman has alleged that Abhinav Bansal had allegedly attempted to rape her and beat her. According to the police,the victim lived with the accused in a live-in relationship for two years. However,when she asked Bansal to marry her,he started to threaten her. Last night Bansal entered into her residence,threatened and thrashed her and attempted to rape her following which she made a police complaint. In another case,a woman made a complaint to the Industrial Area police station that an unknown person entered her house,and threatened her in the wee hours of Sunday. In both the cases the police has registered a case but is yet to make any arrests.

Woman’s death faked in prank

Chandigarh: A prank by an unknown person left the Chandigarh Police looking for a “dead” woman who was actually on a trip to Solan. The UT Police received a call from the Australian police following a complaint made by one of her relatives in Australia that the woman died in Chandigarh. The phone call was received by the UT Police on Saturday. On tracing the location of the woman’s mobile phone,it was found that the woman was in Solan and was absolutely safe. The UT Plice then asked the local police in Solan on check on the woman to confirm the same. The Police is now trying to trace the person who answered the call.
