Bansal visits Deep Complex Chandigarh:Union Minister for Railways Pawan Kumar Bansal Sunday visited Deep Complex at Hallomajra along with the officials of the UT Administration and Municipal Corporation. He assured the residents that sewerage and water connections would be provided to them at the earliest.

CHB residents hold rally Chandigarh: The members of the CHB Residents’ Federation held a rally in Sector 40. This was the fifth in a series of rallies held by it for fulfillment of demands – regularization of need-based changes in houses made by CHB,transfer of ownership rights to residents of rehabilitation colonies and adoption of citizens’ charter etc. The members said that instead of threatening the whole housing board belt with demolition notices,the board should accept the demands of the people.

Maru is new BJP district 5 president Chandigarh:The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed Bhajan Singh Maru as the president of district 5. The decision was taken following a meeting of the leaders from the villages. Sarpanch of village Khuda Jassu Balvinder Sharma and Dr Hukum Chand were appointed the general secretaries of the district.
