Chandigarh: Punjab and Haryana Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi was admitted to PGI on Thursday. Sources said that he was suffering from pancreatitis and was taken to PGI in the morning. PGI spokesperson Manju Wadwalkar said his condition was stable. The chief justice had been suffering from pancreatitis for some time now. Two months ago,on April 28 he was admitted here after he complained of severe pain. Later,on April 29 he was shifted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital,New Delhi.

Residents’ Association raise objections against widening of roads

CHANDIGARH: The Residents Welfare Association,,Sector 40,in a meeting held on Thursday said the internal roads of the sector should not be widened as the residents would have to face problems of parking,damage to sewerage and electricity They said the proposal for laying paver blocks was not feasible.
