Man files case after buying stolen vehicle

Chandigarh:A resident of Ramdarbar,Sanjeev Kumar,registered a complaint accusing a group of unidentified persons of cheating people by selling them stolen cars using fake documents. Kumar also alleged the involvement of officials in the Registration Office.

11 gms of charas found on undertrial

Chandigarh:Eleven grams of charas was recovered from an undertrial. Sakir Alam,26,had been serving his sentence at Burail Jail. After being presented in court today,he was found to be carrying the charas. A case under the Narcotic Pyschotrophic Substance Act has been registered against him.

Cyclist run over

Ambala:A 15-year-old cyclist was killed after he was run over by a Canter near Jansui village on Chandigarh-Hissar National Highway. Mukesh,a Class X student and a resident of Badauli village,was returning after taking exam when the accident happened. The Canter driver was overpowered by the villagers and handed over to the police.

21-year-old ends life

Ambala:A 21-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his residence. Mohit,a resident of Sector 9,HUDA Colony,Ambala city,had done hotel management course,but was in depression for not getting a job,said his father Suresh Kumar,a bank employee. However,no suicide note was recovered.
