After newborn’s death,GMSH-16 upgrades medical facilities

Various services at the Government Multi Specalty Hospital (GMSH) in Sector 16 have been improved after the recent death of a newborn on the hospital premises.

Various services at the Government Multi Specalty Hospital (GMSH) in Sector 16 have been improved after the recent death of a newborn on the hospital premises. From putting up signboards to having more staff on duty in the important departments,the hospital management is trying their best to improve the medical facilities.

A report in this regards has also been submitted to the Health Secretary. The most significant change is that the hospital has started with the emergency ward in the Gynae department. Any patient in case of emergency would be treated without any delay.

Meanwhile,the parking space outside the various departments has also been worked upon and care has been taken that patients get to park right outside the department so that they don’t have to walk much. Also the number of staff members on duty in the important departments have also been increased so that patients are attended to well in time. A report regarding the various changes has been maintained by the hospital authorities as the same was desired by the Health Secretary.

Further,there is no headway in the second inquiry marked in the newborns death and the inquiry officers both ADC and GMCH-32 Director are still questioning the people involved. It was on July 21 that Bulbul,a native of Bihar,had lost her child at the hospital while waiting for medical assistance. She had delivered while waiting in queue and her child’s head had hit the floor soonafter which she dies.
