Admissions for Class XI start at govt schools

The centralised admissions for Class XI in government schools will start at 8.30 am at the Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 10,on Thursday.

The centralised admissions for Class XI in government schools will start at 8.30 am at the Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 10,on Thursday.

The cut -off percentage for the first day has been decided at 83 per cent and students seeking admission are required to reach the venue around 8 am. Besides regular announcements about remaining seats,the merit position will also be displayed on the LCD screen placed outside the hall.

Chanchal Singh,Deputy District Education Officer,said: “We have divided the admissions into three slots and students have been asked to come as per their percentage slot. We hope to conclude the admissions on the first day around 3 pm.”

Students seeking admission under the sports category are required to come along with their gradation certificates and all students are required to get both their original certificates as well as acknowledgement slips.
