Action cry

The cast of the upcoming flick Luck didn’t know what lay in store when they told director Soham Shah that they would perform their own stunts in the action thriller.

The cast of the upcoming flick Luck didn’t know what lay in store when they told director Soham Shah that they would perform their own stunts in the action thriller. It was only when the shooting began did they realise that performing stunts was actually quite a risky business. “I’m an adventurous person so thought it would be good fun to do my own stunts,” says Shruti Haasan who will debut in the film as an actress and a playback singer. “Though I didn’t realise I would be thrown into a pool of hungry sharks,” she adds with a giggle.

Hero Imran Khan played macho when a shot was being taken but reveals that after the shot was okayed,he would totally freak out when he realised what he had just done. “When I looked back and saw that I had actually risked my life,I would get nightmares,” he says, referring to the burning train sequence. “I reckoned later on that if anything had gone wrong and I wanted to escape,my only option would have been either to jump into the fire or be crushed under the moving train,” he says with a shudder. In fact, after the scene was shot Khan came to know that a bit of his

eyebrow had been burnt off,a scar that will remain for life.

“But it was the water scene that sent the shiver down my spine,” says Haasan talking about the time they all had to get into rough waters with sharks for company. And no,these were no plastic fins, the sharks were for real. “I saw a shark’s tail hit Imran’s face and I almost went back home,” laughs Ravi Kissen, who believes that this film could mean his second innings in Bollywood.

“When I was told to jump into the water I just thought, damn this film! I’m running home,” adds hydrophobic Chitranshi Rawat who will be seen once more on the big screen after her notable performances in Chak De! and Fashion.

After these revelations we wonder if Soham Shah will cast this brave crew in his next flick as well. “After what I made them go through I’m too afraid to even bring up the topic,I think all of them have already started ignoring my calls,” he jokes.
