Aarthi Association president accuses ADC of misbehaviour

The president of the Subzi Mandi Aarthi Association,Sector 26 has alleged misbehaviour by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Parshuram V Kawle.

The president of the association,55-year-old Digvijay Kapoor,in his written complaint against the ADC submitted to the DC on Friday alleged that he was called by the ADC to his office wherein the official misbehaved with him and used abusive language against him.

The president alleged that when he reached the office of the ADC,the ADC spoke very rudely to him and asked him about his duties. He also alleged that the official asked him to take rounds of the Sabzi Mandi every day and submit him the written report. Kapoor alleged that the officer apparently had a spat with one of the vendors for which he gave Kapoor a dressing-down.

When contacted Parshuram Kawle,rubbishing the incident,said,“There was nothing of this sort that happened in my office. Digvijay and another member of the association had come to meet me on their own. I did not call them.

Speaking with Chandigarh Newsline,kapoor said,“I was called by the official who sent me a message through another member of the association. I never expected an IAS officer to use such language and misbehave with anyone like that. We are holding a meeting tomorrow to take this issue to the higher authorities”.

“The official asked me as to why I do not ensure that the vendors selling vegetables have the weights of all denominations. To this,I told him that I do not have executive powers and I cannot take action against anyone. He misbehaved with me and told me that I was not doing my duties properly,” he added.
