A spiritual guru in the making

There are a very few people in this world who would admit they are completely satisfied with life.

There are a very few people in this world who would admit they are completely satisfied with life. Yogesh Gaur is one of them. Someone who appears to be at peace with himself, his home and lifestyle are a reflection of the same.

Sitting in his prim blue business suit,Yogesh Gaur reveals nitty-gritties about his job as a placement consultant and also his passion of guiding people spiritually and helping them lead a positive life through Art of Living workshops.

As Gaur proudly gets his photograph clicked under a photograph of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar,he says: “I have always wanted to do something for the society. I am lucky that I have got an opportunity to help people lead a better and more positive life.”

He joined the Art of Living Foundation nine years ago. “There were some tensions in my family and I felt I needed help. Someone suggested that I take up a course in Art of Living. There has been no looking back since. I gained a lot from the course and I felt that I should share my knowledge with other people.”

Gaur,42,took teacher-training courses and has been teaching people the ‘art of living’ for the past seven years. “We all have some or the other problem in life but what is significant is the way we deal with them. Life is like a tripod and balance is extremely important. Its three legs signify our professional life, our family and working for other people. We create an imbalance if we ignore any of these aspects,” he says.

He believes that one should not have any excuse for not contributing to the society. “I am committed to my cause and that is what keeps me going. I conduct a monthly course called YES (Youth Empowerment Seminar) and also teach people in the age group of 24 and above,” he states matter-of-factly.

Though he is not getting any monetary benefit for his efforts,Gaur claims he finds an inner sense of well being. “I am able to balance my life well. I work for my spiritual and emotional well being and the rest is taken care of. At this point in time,I can say that my life is a fulfilling experience,” he says philosophically.
