The Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to Panjab University (PU) was held on Sunday. A total of 8,250 candidates appeared for the examination.

The test conducts admissions to key departments in the university which include MBBS at Government Medical College and Hospital,Sector 32; BDS at Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences,PU; Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery at Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College,Sector 46; Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery at Homeopathic Medical College; and BPharma at University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The other courses include BA LLB (hons)/BCom LLB (hons),which is a five-year integrated course,at University Institute of Legal Studies,Swami Sarvanand Giri,PU Regional Centre in Hoshiarpur,and Ludhiana; BSc (hons) in Anthropology,Bio-Chemistry,Bio-Physics,Biotechnology,Botany,Chemistry,Geology,Mathematics,Mathematics and Computing,Microbiology,Physics,Physics & Electronics and Zoology.
