7-year-old raped in Nayagaon,case registered

An employee with a local recovery agency,the 35-year-old alleged that his daughter was abducted by an unknown man around 2 am from the house after which she was taken to a secluded spot where she was raped.

“We were fast asleep when somebody took away my daughter from the house by opening the door from outside. I found my daughter missing when I woke up around 2 am. We went out in search of our daughter but to no avail,” Birender told Chandigarh Newsline.

He added that his daughter returned around 3.30 am. “Her clothes were torn and she was weeping,” the father said. The girl told her family that the accused was wearing a white shirt and black trousers.

The father alleged that the Nayagaon Police did not register his complaint in the morning and shooed him away. It was only after the director of his company contacted the police that a case was registered by the police late in the evening. The medical examination of the girl conducted at Phase VI,Mohali,has confirmed that the girl was raped.

“We have registered a case of rape and are in search of the accused. The family is clueless about the identity of the accused,” said Nayagaon SHO Chinder Pal Singh.
