5 acres in Hallomajra for car bazaar

Around 5 acres of land in Hallomajra has been earmarked for the second hand car bazaar held in Sector 7 every Sunday. Till the site is developed,the market will continue to be held in Sector 7.

The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Finance Secretary Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday.

Kumar said the current site being utilised for the car bazaar was around 3 acres. Keeping the future needs in sight,a bigger chunk of land has been earmarked.

He added that the decision to relocate the car market was taken after residents and traders complained of inconvenience due to the market.

Soon,the land in Hallomajra will be released to the Municipal Corporation for setting up necessary infrastructure. The MC has been given three months to develop the site.
